3 Reasons Why You Need A Dumpster For Your Spring Cleanup

Are you planning a spring cleaning project? Have you decided yet what you're going to be doing with all of the trash and/or yard waste that gets generated? Your first impulse may be to simply take everything straight to the dump. But first impulses aren't necessarily the best solutions to a particular problem. Instead of taking the trash to the dump yourself, a better solution is likely going to be to rent a dumpster to handle the trash. There are a number of advantages to taking this route, such as the following:

Save time

You're probably looking at everything you need to get rid of and are currently thinking it may only take you a couple of trips to the dump. But there is a good chance that you're underestimating how much you have and/or overestimating how much you'll be able to fit into the vehicles that you have available. Instead of just two or three trips to the dump, it could take you many times that. Each trip to the dump could take several hours as you'll have to join the long line of other vehicles waiting to drop off their trash as well. Instead of potentially spending the equivalent of a work week getting rid of your excess trash, roll-off dumpsters are able to be left at your house and filled up as you go through the cleaning project.

Save money

Making many trips to the dump probably isn't as cheap as you may believe. You'll have to consider the cost of fuel to get there and back in addition to whatever fees the dump charges for being allowed to leave your stuff there. Many dumps not only charge per vehicle but also by total weight. By the time you add up the cost of more than a handful of trips back and forth, you'll likely find that the cost for this will be higher than renting from one of the local companies that offer roll-off dumpsters.

Better safety

When making trips to the dump instead of renting any roll-off dumpsters, you're going to have to set the trash aside until you're actually able to make that trip. This trash can become a hiding place for various rodent and insect pests. It may also become an attractive place for the neighborhood kids to play in. Instead of having to worry about trying to stop any children from playing on and around your trash pile, just get a dumpster and throw everything away where it can't be accessed.
